Betty Berger, 89, an Ocala IONS member and dear
friend from the neighboring area of Inglis, Florida, has
recently published a book chock-full of local lore from the
Nature Coast, where she has lived since 1957.
Back Roads, a compilation of weekly columns written by
Betty over a number of years for the Citrus County
Chronicle, is her way of preserving history so that these
unique accounts and invaluable memories do not get lost.
Some interviews, some memories from Betty's own
experience, all of these stories are a must-read for anyone
curious about the Real Florida of a bygone era.
