Being raised in a quaint, little northern Vermont
burg by a Dad who was a veterinarian and Mom, a
German war bride, certainly made for an
entertaining experience during my formative years.
When I was nine, Dad finally relented and
purchased my first horse....like potato chips - you
can't have just one...eventually, we bought a farm
and brood stock;.
At 22, I married a professional Morgan Horse
trainer with championship credentials. He and his
family resided in Ohio and represented the creme
de la creme in their field. After 15 years of training
and showing World Champion Morgan horses, the
time came to advance to "Plan B".
A long time gal friend, who also showed Morgans in
a former life, contacted me when she learned that I
had become un-married. She had recently
purchased a condo on Sanibel Island in Florida and
was embarking upon a "Plan B' of her own. Lo and
behold, we shared that marvelous island residence
devoid of horses and their ilk. I became a
bartender at the local marina and a weekend DJ at
a Classic Rock radio station on Ft. Myers
Beach...and a good time was had by all!!
Sadly, my dear friend succumbed to lung cancer 5
1/2 years after we moved to the island.
Meanwhile, Dad and Mom found a charming piece
of property and house suitable for their retirement
years situated on 3 acres in SW Ocala. I arrived
after my friend's passing in order to formulate "Plan
C"...it seems I have yet to leave!!!
For me, loving Marion County includes participating
in various and sundry equine events. I employ
"energy balancing" techniques with horses which
would be similar to acupuncture without needles. In
order to be effective with the animals, it is
necessary for me to maintain a balanced and high
vibrational constitution of my own body, mind and
spirit.
In 1996, our own delightful, Dianne Sands, was
extremely instrumental in introducing me to the
philosophy of Abraham (a collection of spirits
channeled by a woman named Esther Hicks).
Their website is Abraham-Hicks.com. "The
Secret" concept and practice parallels that of
Abraham by means of the Law of Attraction. I credit
both of these works with guiding me to and through
daily experiences of peace, joy and abundance.
Dad and Mom have returned to non-physical so I
am rattling around in this big house on 3 acres with
two exceptional kitties to keep me company. Plan D
is to market this property and head a short distant
south east to the Villages and party on!!
