| March Meeting Friday, March 5th, 2010 Presenter: Paula Krause Topic: Embracing Your Shadow 6:30-8:30 pm at OakBrook Life Enrichment Center 1009 NE 28th Ave, Ocala. 352-732-852 Embracing Your Shadow "Enlightenment is not about embracing the light, it is about embracing our darkness and bringing it to light." ~ Carl G. Jung, pioneer investigator of the human psyche There is an energy that lives deep within every human that Carl Jung has labeled "The Shadow." This is as old as we are, and includes all the qualities and feelings of which our culture does not approve, such as guilt, fear, worry, jealousy, grief, resentment and anger to mention only a few. Only when we own and accept our shadow can we release it and replace it with Divine Love. During this presentation we will be using Psychological Fitness and Impulse Management to climb down into ourselves, into the mystery of the unconscious to get clear about our habitual patterns and discover the beauty of our authentic self. We will be "up close and personal" with the voices of the human psyche to transcend our shadow as we explore, expose and make peace with the sometimes-contradictory aspects of self.
